About MEPI Library
The Maktabat MEPI Library is an online repository for training resources developed by civil society organizations and institutions that support civil society in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region through funding from the U.S. Department of States’ U.S.-Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI). The Library focuses on resources that promote U.S. democratic values.
The broad range of topics included in the Library reflects the wealth of information and knowledge developed by MEPI projects. The site offers more than 900 training resources from 74 U.S. and local organizations, including training manuals, curricula and presentations, on topics ranging from entrepreneurship and nonprofit leadership to social media and governance. Resources are organized by five technical areas – Economic Growth and Prosperity, Participatory Governance, Education, Governance and Rule of Law, and Media. Youth Initiatives also are highlighted.

About MEPI
Aiming to advance stability and prosperity in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), the Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) program supports governments and their citizens to achieve shared political, economic and stability objectives. The MEPI program responds to needs and emerging opportunities for citizens and organizations that target two core objectives: Participatory Governance, Economic Opportunity. A cross cutting theme is the focus on government-citizen relations: empowering partnerships between citizens, non-governmental organizations, the private sector, and government institutions to promote shared solutions for the people of MENA.
MEPI is part of the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs (NEA) at the U.S. Department of State.
